This experimental piece set to make effective use of waste material.

During the early stages of this project it was found that paper mache on a balloon at 18 layers with minor reinforcement offered a form strong enough to withstand the weight of 100kgs. The reason for this is the fact that the egg form is one of the strongest three-dimensional forms in the world.

The Tetra Lamps were inspired by the iconic Tetra Pak containers.

I set about making effective use of a readily available material/production process to manufacture a cost effective contemporary light.
